This learning module will introduce the programming language and syntax of R utilizing the RStudio interface. Participants will learn basic data manipulation including filtering, sorting, stacking, and merging data using tools from the dplyr package. The learning module will further explore data visualization tools from the ggplot2 package. No previous experience with R is necessary.
Learners will know by the end of the module:
- How to import data into R and perform basic data management operations.
- How to generate bar graphs, scatterplots, and line charts using the ggplot2 package.
- How to modify aesthetic defaults of graphs.
- How to create interactive graphical displays using the shiny package.
